Ang Pagdadalaga ni Avril Lavigne

Ok, that sucked. Anyways, I've been a fan of hers since her first claim to fame. I can still remember, it was way back in fourth grade. I didn't really like her yet in her Complicated video, it was in Sk8er Boi that I took notice. I bought a casette tape and listened to it the whole night. I idolized her from then on.

I didn't care that she was labeled a poser. She may look and act that way, but it doesn't change the fact that she's a good song writer and she knows what she's singing and writing about. The looks? I think its not a big deal. In her second album, I already knew that she would eventually give in and become more feminine. In the third album? Boy, I didn't think she'd be that feminine.

At last, lumadlad na si Avril.

She's a beautiful lady. Great eyes, great nose...great everything. She's even got a great bod actually. Maybe I won't appreciate as much as I did before now because her style shifted big time, but I'd say hats off to her because she finally laid it all down. (I think this is the effect of being married to Sum 41's front man). There's still that slight disappointment because what she is now is what she used to say she doesn't like and would never become. Quite the opposite of what I see now. I was actually shocked that her video Girlfriend had some choreography! Haha.

Oh well. Good luck to her.

"Hey hey, you you! I don't like your girlfriend. No way, no way, I think you need a new one. Hey hey, you you! I can be your girlfriend." =p

The Entire World is Our Trash Can

Mother Nature talked to me today.

As I inhale my daily doses of carbon monoxide from cars,
As my skin gets twice the amount of UV rays its supposed to receive due to the great hole in the ozone layer,
As the garbage around me starts to become alive,
As the stench of the river at the entrance to SBMA continues to overwhelm me,

"The grass is much greener on the other side". I beg to disagree. The world is green no more. So, Mother Nature talked to me today. I've got to stop typing now and actually do something. I'm a fool for thinking that I'd be a hypocrite if I try to clean up once in a while and release my inner activism.

I want to believe in what Ghandi said that I "must be the change you want to see in the world". Be the catalyst. And no, people, its not hypocrisy to actually care for the world created for us to take cafe of. Though we'll all eventually die, I don't want to die leaving behind a temporary world that we were instructed to maintain. Humans aren't supposed to be dumb enough to speed up the deterioration process.

SAVE MOTHER NATURE AND SAVE MANKIND for Pete's sake, whoever Pete is.

As Everything Passes By.

We just had our election this day for the next school year's Supreme Student Council officers. I won vice-president over my friend. This just means that we're one step closer to becoming seniors. Ayoko pa sana. Even now, the school year is nearing its end, I still can't fully absorb that I'm already a junior and that in a few months, last year na namin. I want to cry.

Yeah sure, its a different feeling to be the so-called superiors of the student body as 4th years, we're no longer cadets and cadettes (ahem, officers na!), we don't have anybody else ahead of us, meaning its only a matter of time before we truly start to become independent. Ahhh college.

Time. Time. Time. The most precious thing you can spend. I'm thankful we've got blogs, friendsters and myspaces (wow, so they're nouns now?), [especially] multiply accounts for photos!...thank you to the Internet's creators. There's still that great chance to communicate with people from the past, present and future of our lives. Imagine, the net's got so many wonders that lots got married online (now that's just tacky, not to mention desperate). But still! that's not reason enough for me to be comforted about the nearing conclusion of my high school life.

I guess the only thing I can do (we can do) is to simply enjoy, know our priorities and make the most of everyday. Destiny is just playing with us, because cliche as this may sound, time really does fly when you're having fun. Its hard to face changes but its one of the constant and inevitable matters in life.

Congrats to me and the others. How many months till senior year?

I DON'T WANT TO REMEMBER.
